A song about those moments in our lives where it feels like we’re trapped in a dark, dangerous forest while the storm is raging and it seems as though there is no way out.
Save our Souls, work title -In these woods – is inspired by Snow White who ends up in a dark forest all by herself while fleeing for the hunter. And the song is also inspired by Alice in Wonderland who leads us into another reality and while being lost she giving us a glimpse of looking at life from a different perspective.
It’s a recognizable feeling, desperation, and it can get a hold on you after small events but rather because of big life events. You’re feeling lost and lonely and it feels like there’s no way out. But I do hope, dear reader, that when tese moments happen to you, you will embrace your despair, accept it and cherish it so you will eventually be able to see a way out again and to gave at the horizon.

The instrumentation for the song is a reflection of the wandering through the woods and the intensifying of the (inner) storm. The song begins with a compelling intro, inspired by al those Disney movies, ouvertures and fim production leaders. Created initially by me and turned into reality in a fantastic manner by David van Dorsten. I hope it stimulates your fantasy and the song (and this album) will take you away into another world.
