The wolf. The fairytale figure that stands for greediness.
In the time I was writing this album I just couldn’t understand all the ills in the world. The concept of war, ”at the expense of another” and all the misbehaviour of the human kind… Why ??
‘Wolf’ is about the ‘revenge’ destiny takes when you behave in a bad way: ‘what goes around comes around’. Like a boomerang the consequences of our actions will rebound on us. It’s a dark song, one to lean into.
Now, some years older and wiser, I believe in the goodness of people and this sense of incomprehension, maybe familiar to you as well, now has been given a place in this song.
