SAMSON (AND DELILAH)

 The people of Gaza were told, “Samson is here!” So they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the city gate. They made no move during the night, saying, “At dawn we’ll kill him.”

But Samson lay there only until the middle of the night. Then he got up and took hold of the doors of the city gate, together with the two posts, and tore them loose, bar and all. He lifted them to his shoulders and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron.

Some time later, he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah. The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels of silver.”

So Delilah said to Samson, “Tell me the secret of your great strength and how you can be tied up and subdued.”

She came to know his strength, took it from him by cutting of his hair and the Philistines captured him and put him to prison where here seeks for revenge.
But nobody knows with his hair growing back his strength would come back as well.

”The best revenge is massive succes.” Whenever you feel like you need to take revenge, take a step back, put away your hurt ego and put it away in a corner like a stubborn child. Look forward to the future and try to see all the opportunities that come across your path. Be positive, enjoy the good things in life and after a while your sore ego will be left behind in the past and a forgotten memorie.

I love Why. There are not a lot of people who can instantly appreciate this song because of it’s graveness, but as soon as I started writing this song the whole movie went through my mind. I felt the emotions raging through me and the instrumental arrangement hasn’t changed that much since the beginning. Sometimes you have to hear something a few times before you can fully grasp it and understand it. I hope you will and in time enjoy this song.horen (en zien) om het te begrijpen.
